William Morris

Membland 1876

This tile  patterns are fun, organic and my eyes move around all over the places.
I love how william Morris used dark background because that definitely brings out the blue leaves.
Using contrast of light and dark of this tile seemed to work so well.

Kennet 1883-4

He produced a set of seven designs that were each named after a different tributary of the Thames and this one is called Kennet. This attracted my eyes the most out of the other sets of Textiles. It has great delicate details of flowers and leaves. I feel like his arts display his patient and dedication.

La Belle Iseult  1858

This painting of the model is Jane Burden who became Morris's wife in 1859.
Wrinkles of her dress, curtains, and blankets are nicely done.
Natural light source from left side of the room creates the painting more interesting.
